Today's couple are high school sweethearts who fell in love over their shared passion for authentic Greek cuisine. Bianca and Chris are tying the knot amongst their closest family and friends on Hilton Head Island but traveled to Savannah for a delightful engagement session with Vitor Lindo Photography.  Bianca and her fiancé, Chris, tell us about the proposal and what they're most excited about below. Enjoy!

Tell us your love story.

From Bianca: Chris and I met junior year of high school. One day he asked me if I was going to the Greek Festival that weekend. I told him I couldn't because I was babysitting all weekend. He went anyways and Monday, when we were both at school, he brought back dozens of my favorite cookies from the festival. We started dating senior year and one of our first dates was to the Greek Festival - we even took a photo to commemorate it! On the day he proposed, he told me we were going again and to invite friends and family. It is one of my favorite things to do, so I literally invited everyone I could. He said he wanted to re-create the first photo we took there and as soon as we started taking pictures, he dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him! I was in such a state of shock it felt like everything was moving in slow motion!

How are you preparing for marriage?

From Bianca: Well, we have about a year and a half engagement. We bought a house and have been working on advancing our careers so that we can have a wonderful wedding and a wonderful life. I've spent over a year wedding planning, I used to be an event planner in Atlanta, but I had no idea how Type A I was until I started wedding planning for myself! List after list, surprises and ideas left and right - but I do plan on enjoying my wedding not micromanaging it! Living together before marriage hasn't been much of a challenge, but Chris' job requires him to travel a lot so that's been a bit of a struggle.

From Chris: Practicing nodding and agreeing. Also doing my best to keep Bianca calm while she plans the wedding.

What are you looking forward to most about being married?

From Bianca: Do I have to pick just one thing?! Traveling for our honeymoon, taking other trips together, changing my name, being able to start our family (one day!)

From Chris: Getting to call my best friend my wife... And getting her on my health insurance
