Intimate Savannah Wedding in Pulaski Square
Every day as she left for class from her residence at Pulaski House, Rose walked through Pulaski Square. It became her favorite square in the entire city - it's spanning oak trees, dripping Spanish moss and flowering rose bushes. So when planning her wedding, she knew exactly the location that she wanted to have it. Just 24 hours after she walked across the stage in her graduation ceremony from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Rosario walked across the brick-paved sidewalks of Pulaski Square towards her husband-to-be, Timothy.
"The only thing I had envisioned for my wedding day was having my family there with me (they all live in Costa Rica so I was worried they wouldn't be able to make it). I really hadn't given any thought to details like venues, decorations, or even flowers... but I knew I wanted to have a small, intimate ceremony surrounded by our closest friends and family. Having lived in Pulaski square for half of the time that I've been in Savannah, it became very special to me. It has always been one of my favorite squares. With beautiful azaleas in bloom all around and Spanish moss hanging from the oak trees, my wedding day turned out to be the most wonderful, scenic place to say our vows.
My favorite moment, without a doubt, was after the ceremony when I looked at Tim and was finally able to call him my husband. The feeling of knowing that you're married to the love of your life and best friend is indescribable!" - Rose, Bride
