Hi, friends. Krista here! I personally want to thank each and every one of you for your love and support over the last 6 months (Yes! Savannah Soiree turned 6 months young yesterday! Time sure does fly when you’re having fun!) I am endlessly grateful for all of our amazing Beloved Vendors and every one of our sweet and loyal readers. If I could give each of you a great big hug, I would! After attending Bloom Bash Florida last week, I realized I haven’t formally introduced myself. So, today I’m doing just that!
Are you married?
I am! My sweet hubby and I will celebrate 3 years of marriage next month!
Are you from Savannah?
Nope! I’m originally from North Carolina. My husband and I moved to Savannah, Georgia as newlyweds and instantly fell in love with its sweet, southern charm!
How did you get into the wedding industry, specifically publishing?
Growing up, I always knew marriage was a passion of mine. I’m a hopeless romantic, but more than that, I love the meaning of marriage. Finding the one God hand-picked for you and vowing to spend the rest of your days doing life with that person – for better or worse. That. That is what it’s all about. And, of course, forever starts with the wedding day!
After graduating from East Carolina University with a degree in Marketing, I got a job with BG Digital Group, a digital marketing firm in eastern North Carolina. We worked with dozens of clients, one being the Outer Banks Wedding Association. From social media management, to publishing an annual magazine and organizing their wedding expo, we did it all. That, my friends, is where the love affair began! That was my first taste of merging my love for digital marketing and beautiful weddings. And as they say, the rest is history!
What is your favorite thing about Savannah weddings?
The history. I am a sucker for classic traditions and family legacy! I just love when a couple incorporates their unique story and Savannah’s beautiful history into their wedding day.
What gets your creative juices flowing?
I’m a morning person, so early mornings in the office are when I get a lot of creative energy. If I hit a wall, I'll start doing mundane tasks like folding laundry or unloading the dishes. That always seems to get the juices flowing!
What is one random talent that you have?
I don't want to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty dang good a wakeboarding. Toot, toot! Although, snowboarding is a whole other story!
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
What are you thankful for today?
This beautiful life. I never would have imagined for myself here, but I'm so thankful that I am.
