Rustic Wedding Inspiration at The Wyld Dock Bar

The husband and wife team, The Happy Bloom, introduced the idea of a home-centered shoot to the girls at Ivory & Beau. And they loved it! All they had was one word. Home. But what does home mean? What does home feel like? Taste like. Smell like. Home evokes a sense of comfort. Intimacy. Softness. And vulnerability. Those are the words Ivory & Beau ran with when dreaming up the details for their next big shoot.

DIY TIP: Faux leather everything! Why settle for average cornhole bean bags when you can wrap them in faux leather to give them that masculine color you’re looking for! Luckily, the bag is already sealed. Merely wrap the bean bag with two pieces of pre-cut faux leather and thread! Add some sweet calligraphy and you have a heated competition between the bridesmaids and groomsmen!

"We all knew we wanted something local and intimate. The Wyld Dock Bar provided just that! The restaurant sits right on the water providing a great layer of privacy and intimacy. People and pups can literally arrive on boat for freshly caught fish of the day. There is a beauty and comfort to these kinds of places. A 'come as you are' place. A place very much like home.

Masculine tones were a must in this rustic, low country location. Who needs a floral table runner when you can have a faux leather table runner?! Pinned with lyrics of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros’ 'Home', this runner was unlike anything we’ve seen before. DIY leather menu envelopes were the perfect addition to a weathered wooden table. The bride, dressed in a super feminine Sarah Seven dress, donned a hip leather jacket giving her wedding day look an unexpected twist. And don’t forget about those boots! Talk about an incredible leather surprise! An oversized feminine bouquet and simple curls helped keep her look soft and natural. This helped balance out her handsome beau decked out in grey + navy. And no home is complete without a pup waiting for you with all the wet kisses in the world! This wedding day would not be complete without a personalized doggy menu and treats from Savannah’s Woof Gang Bakery!" - Justin and Amanda, Photographers
