It’s hard to tell if today’s engagement session was set off the coast of Tybee Island or the banks of Ireland! When I first contacted Hannah, she gushed as she told me about the proposal and blissfully declared, “I love this crazy guy so incredibly much – I think my heart could burst!”

How are you preparing for marriage? “We are both big planners, so in true form, we are making all kinds of plans for the future! We are planning our finances, getting excited to buy a house, talking about life long goals, traveling, children and so much more!!! We’re also trying not to put the horse before the cart – we’re really trying to prepare ourselves for the actual marriage. We are attending couple Bible studies and premarital counseling. We decided together that taking these initial steps were beyond important to us. What are a few extra steps to ensure you’re doing everything you can to have a successful marriage. It is one of the best things we have ever done together. After being together for a long time and living together for quite some time, you think you know everything there is to know about your partner – these experiences have helped me to understand Jeff in ways I hadn’t previously and in return, has made us that much stronger.”
What are you looking forward to most about being married? “The one-ness of marriage. Having Jeff to lean on during every trial and phase of life means so much to me. I look forward to my future so much more because I know he will be by my side; making me laugh, helping me make important decisions, supporting me when I need it most, being a shoulder to cry on. It is the absolute best feeling knowing that I will have the love of my life by my side for every step along life’s sad, crazy, stressful, exciting, adventurous road. On that note, Jeff is the most fun person I know. I cannot wait to see what adventures we’ll go on and all the ways he will continue to make every single day exciting.“
